Granted, the whole cookie-cutter aspect isn't as bad as FFVII, but unlike FFVII, running around in dungeons, fighting monsters and solving simple puzzles, just isn't any fun. It's enjoyable at first, but by the end all the game's faults just end up being intolerable. Playing through it becomes a chore, and eventually you'll say to hell with getting the cool Espers and items, let's just fight the stupid boss already. So in short, play until you get to the Floating Continent. You'll enjoy it more.

Very much subbing this thread, I'm super interested in applying all the QoL fixes I can to the included SNES games and any other ROMS installed. Though as the former is concerned, will I be able to boot up the already-installed games with the patches applied? But, whaddaya going to do. When this game first came out over here, the only chance I got to play it was on my friend's SNES when I was housesitting for him and his family while they were on vacation.
There are two rows of three that the player will notice. When Mario goes behind the Toads, they tell Mario that he should walk properly in between the two rows to greet the Chancellor. However, if Mario jumps on a Toad's head, he can get past them. Mario will go around the room by the wall and sneak up from behind the Chancellor. When Mario talks to him, the player will walk through him to greet him. Unable to do Anything.
I was gladly surprised the file that came out was the same (if not, 99% close) file size as a commercial smrpg rom. But the sad news, it didn't boot in Snes9x or Zsnes. I opened it up with a hex editor and while you can make out alot more of the script in ascii form, it isn't 100% the same. I also tried opening it in Tile Layer Pro to see any editable gfx, but none showed up. Also tried looking for same palettes but that didn't get any results either.
